Kelly Bag Sculpture
The “Kelly Bag” sculpture is one of several sculptures designed and created by internationally recognized sculptor Nikos Floros which are inspired by Princess Grace of Monaco and exhibited to commemorate the 30th year anniversary of her untimely death.
Grace Kelly, first as a Hollywood legend and then as Princess Grace of Monaco, became synonymous with timeless beauty, elegance and style. With her essential charm and grace, she became an international symbol and inspiration to many for her tireless philanthropic work and support of organizations with worldwide reach especially in the arts and culture.
The “Kelly Bag” sculpture is inspired by the world-renown Hermes Kelly Bag. Following the successful exhibition of the “Wedding Dress” sculpture at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C., earlier this year, Mr. Floros is now presenting the “Kelly Bag” sculpture inspired by the particular design favored by Princess Grace and which became a symbol of her personal style and elegance. The sculpture has dimensions 35 x 34 x 12 cm and was designed and created by Nikos Floros using hundreds of pieces of recyclable aluminum beverage cans woven together using a technique invented and patented by Nikos Floros and which is characteristic of his work.

Nikos Floros in born in Tripoli, Arcadia GREECE. He studied at the School of Fine Arts (Ecole des Beaux Arts) in Paris as well as classical piano and classical theater in Greece. His sculptures are exhibited in museums and private collections and hehas received world-wide recognition and many honors for his very creative and original work. He was recently awarded the Golden Cross for Arts and Sciences from the Albert Schweitzer Foundation of Vienna.
The inspiration for much of Nikos Floros work is the strength, dedication and accomplishments of extraordinary women. His past work has included an extensive series of sculptural costumes based on the costumes of the great opera diva and legend, Maria Callas.
